According to reports, a Chennai-based advocate named V Elangovan has reportedly filed a petition in the Madras High Court challenging the appointment of O Panneerselvam as the Deputy Chief Minister. The advocate, in his affidavit, stated that the appointment was bad in law, and said, “There is no provision under the Constitution for the appointment of a Deputy Chief Minister”, added reports.
