Following the attack on Periyar statue, BJP Tamil Nadu President Tamilisai Soundararajan removed the party's Tirupattur Union general secretary Muthuramman from all party positions. Notably, Muthuramman was detained by Vellore police for involvement in the attack on Periyar Statue in Tirupattur.
