Passport can't be used as address proof anymore since the last page that contains details of names of the father or legal guardian, mother, spouse, and address, might undergo a change, reports the NDTV. Apparently, the change is a reflection of the recommendation of Ministry of Women and Child Development to do away with the process of requiring father's details in passports for the benefit of single mothers.
