Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam was reportedly quoted as saying that the portions of Veera Vasantharayar Mandapam in Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple, which was damaged in the recent fire accident would be renovated in six months as per the Agama Shastra. He also said that a separate Fire and Rescue Station will be established in the temple.
