After the assembly speaker disqualified the 18 rebel MLAs of TTV Dhinakaran’s faction, the MLAs filed petition in High Court questioning the speaker’s order. One of the disqualified MLAs Vetrivel, reportedly said that the deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam is a ‘sleeper cell’ for DMK’s working president, MK Stalin. After the announcement of V K Sasikala's ouster, TTV Dhinakaran, in a number of interviews said that he has got ‘sleeper cells’ in Edappadi K Palaniswami faction.
