MLAS DISQUALIFICATION CASE: OPS AND TEAM FILE CAVEAT IN SC

Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam and 10 other ministers involved in the MLAs disqualification case have filed a caveat in the Supreme Court to be prepared in case the DMK appeals against the verdict passed by the Madras High Court earlier. Madras HC had dismissed the case filed by DMK against the disqualification of the MLAs by saying that it can’t interfere with the action of the speaker. Notably, a caveat allows the party/person against whom the case is filed, to be heard out fairly, before a court can pass judgment.
