The CMRL (Chennai Metro Rail Limited) will reportedly be building elevated metro stations in the phase-2. ‘Balanced cantilever method’ will be followed while building these stations, which will be supported by columns of structures built on the road which will also allow a smooth flow of traffic. Totally 27 elevated stations will be built, most of which will be constructed in OMR.
