A nurse in Haryana reportedly refused to show the new born girl to the mother as she did not receive the tip. Reportedly, it is a general practice in Haryana called 'Badhai' to pay the nurse after a baby is born ranging from Rs.300 for a girl and Rs.3000 for a boy. According to media reports, the nurse gave the baby after the family stood still and did not pay her even after she demanded money. A complaint was filed against the nurse with Principal Medical Officer, and she was transferred to a remote place. A warning has been issued to all the nurses working in that hospital.
