NOW CLASS 11 AND 12 STUDENTS CAN STUDY ONLY 3 SUBJECTS, AND THEY CAN SELECT IT!

Government has announced that students in classes 11 and 12 can now select the subjects they want to study and write exam for 500 marks only, reports Puthiya Thalaimurai.
During the last academic year, the state government of Tamil Nadu had reduced the total marks per subject from 200 to 100. Currently, the students have 6 subjects with language, English and 4 other subjects depending on the stream they opt for.
Now, government has announced that students can choose the subjects they would like to study in the stream. For example, a person who wants to be an engineer can opt out Biology and study Maths, Physics and Chemistry alone.
Directorate of Examination told that Science major students can pick 3 subjects from existing Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Botany, Computer Science and Home Science. Students pursuing commerce can pick History, Geography, Economics, Commerce, Accountancy, Business Mathematics, Accountancy, Political Science and Advanced Tamil. Students who wish to opt all 4 subjects can take 4 subjects and write exam for 600 marks.
