The Northeast monsoon, which is expected to start on October 20, has made TN government make the disaster management ready. RB Udayakumar, the revenue and disaster management minister of TN reportedly said that the Rs 750 crore has been allocated to manage relief and rehabilitation methods. The district collectors were given high alert and rescue team has reportedly been put ready with proper training to help affected people. Hospitals were also given instructions to stock up oxygen cylinders and emergency medications.
