Important news for students from next academic year

Tamil Nadu’s school education department is reportedly considering ending the no-detention policy till class VIII from the next academic year. Reports say, the no-policy detention policy was introduced in 2009 to ensure all student complete elementary education. However, studies have suggested that this policy leaves a negative impact on the students. Following which, officials are holding talks and reconsidering the policy.
