Tamil Nadu Minister Sellur Raju has reportedly announced that the government won't be giving urad dal in ration shops. Raju also said that the decision was taken as the cost of urad dal is too expensive. Earlier DMK working president MK Stalin had rapped the government saying that PDS shops were not providing the public with essentials and this particularly caused inconvenience to people from poor families who couldn’t afford to buy the same at regular shops.
