NOT AMIT SHAH, BUT THIS POPULAR POLITICIAN TO REPRESENT BJP AT KARUNANIDHI MEMORIAL MEET

There were earlier speculations stating that BJP party president Amit Shah would be representing the party at the memorial meet for DMK chief M Karunanidhi, which set tongues wagging of a possible alliance with DMK ahead of the 2019 general elections. 

However, rumours have been put to rest after it was announced that Union Minister Nitin Gadkari would grace the event, which has been set for August 30. 

The DMK chief passed away after prolonged illness. The leadership of the party is set to be transferred to his son MK Stalin soon.
