A report by NITI Aayog, released on Friday, has shown that Kerala tops the list in the health index, measured by various indicators like child mortality rates, sex ratios at birth, immunisation rates. India’s biggest state, Uttar Pradesh has performed poorly on the index. Punjab, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat have taken the second, third and fourth places respectively. Meanwhile, Odisha, Bihar and Rajasthan occupy the bottom three positions, as per the NITI Aayog report.
