Airport officials at Madurai reportedly said the flight service from Madurai to Singapore will commence from September 15, four times a week. The flight, which is between New Delhi and Singapore via Madurai, will be operated by Air India Express, a low-cost carrier based in Kochi. The service will attract passengers from southern districts who are at present using Trichy airport to reach Singapore and Malaysia, say reports.
