A new-born baby girl was reportedly found abandoned and crying amidst bushes in Karuveppampoondi village near Utiramerur in Kanchipuram. According to Times of India reports, the baby was rescued by police and was admitted to the government hospital in Kanchipuram. Police have requested an orphanage to provide care for the baby, reports say.
