According to reports, the Christian Medical College in Vellore has reportedly decided to halt admissions to its MBBS and super speciality courses for 2017-18 over the NEET medical test. Sunil Chandy, director, CMC, reportedly said the college has to assess certain suitability criteria of the students including the commitment to serving the public and leadership skills, while “the government defines merit as marks alone”.
