The Supreme Court on Monday reportedly ordered an interim ban against the Madurai bench of Madras High Court’s order to Tamil Nadu government to offer facilities for opening Navodaya schools. The Tamil Nadu government appealed to the SC against the HC’s order. The State government has reportedly informed the top court about the difficulties in allocating facilities such as infrastructure and land for the schools. Further, it reportedly told the SC that the Navodaya schools follow the trilingual policy which is against the State’s bilingual policy. The SC has reportedly sought a reply from all petitioners and Centre.
