Two girl children were reportedly thrown in front of a moving electric train near Thiruvallur by their mother, after which the mother also jumped to death on Thursday. All three died on the spot after being hit by the train travelling towards Chennai Central from Thiruvallur. The woman was reportedly having trouble with her husband after which she took this extreme step.
