ROAD RAGE: SHE WAS CROSSING THE ROAD WITH HER 4-YEAR-OLD SON IN CHENNAI

A 4-year-old LKG boy and his mother were hit and ran over by a speedy car in Kovalam, Chennai. The tragic incident had left the Mammalapuram police officers to roll out an investigation to nab the car driver.

Thilagavathy was the wife of Sathyamurthy and mother of  the 4-year-old Tirumurugan. The day started as usual for Thilagavathy when she accompanied her son to a private school in Kovalam in the morning.

She was trying to cross the road with her son where there was a median placed at the centre of the road. Moreover, there was also a Zebra crossing suggesting the attention of vehicle drivers to look for pedestrians crossing the road.

It looks like the car driver did not notice the Zebra crossing when he or she accelerated at a rapid speed only to hit and run the mother along with her little son. Both of them were thrown away to the roadside. Reportedly the mother and son were suffering desperately on the road which was not noticed by any onlookers who could have helped them save their lives.

The incident was brought to the attention of Mammalapuram police officers who rushed to the spot to find the mother and son lying dead on the road. The police officers have made a call to nab the driver responsible for the pathetic accident.
