After increasing the fares in buses across the State, the Tamil Nadu government has reportedly said that the monthly pass, bought for Rs 1,000, in MTC buses will be valid till February 15. For Rs 50 daily pass, the government reportedly said it will soon finalize on the new amount to be charged for it. Meanwhile, many political parties in the State have condemned the hike in bus fares, while some of them have announced protests against the hike.
