Prime Minister Modi arrived in Chennai on Monday at around 9.55am to take part in two events in the city. Meanwhile, flight operations at Chennai airport were reportedly delayed from 20 minutes to an hour till 10.30am on Monday. TOI reports say, due to VIP movement, several planes were told to hold for about 20 minutes before they could land. As elaborate security arrangements were reportedly made on the route between INS Adyar to Madras University Campus and at Raja Annamalai Puram, over 10,000 police personnel were said to be deployed to manage the slow traffic.
