DMK working president MK Stalin on Wednesday reportedly submitted a petition to Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit seeking to announce cyclone-affected Kanyakumari as a disaster-hit district. The district was severely affected by Cyclone Ockhi, which devastated the lives of fishermen as hundreds of them went missing during the cyclone. Many of them are feared dead.
