7 UNDERAGE BOYS ARRESTED FOR FORCED PHYSICAL CONTACT WITH YOUNG WOMAN

She was just a 19-year old mentally challenged woman when 7 underage boys involved in forced physical contact with her in Ervadi, Ramanathapuram.

Reportedly the woman's native is Kerala and she had been given shelter in a home located near Ervadi dharga.

The woman went missing on October 4 and was later found near Dharga in an unconscious state. The woman's father filed a complaint at the Erwadi police station saying that his daughter had been sexually assaulted.

The police investigation revealed the involvement of 7 boys aged between 14 to 18 in the case. Further probing led to the discovery that the 7 boys smoked Ganja (Marijuana) before dragging the woman to have non-consensual and forced physical contact with them.

Meanwhile, police officers under Keelakarai DSP Murugesan identified the boys and arrested them for further investigation.
