MARINA BEACH VISITORS' FAVOURITE EATERY 'SUNDHARI AKKA KADAI' HITS JACKPOT; CUSTOMERS HAPPY!

The Tamil Nadu Safety and Drug Administration Department and the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) have recognized Marina’s famous “Sundari Akka Kadai” as one of the most hygienic and safe street food vendors.

The shop which is known for its delicious fish delicacies was kick-started 19 years ago. “I am happy that my service has been recognised by the government. My customers always enjoyed my food, but this recognition from the government is special,” Sundari, fondly dubbed as ‘Sundari Akka’ was quoted as saying by the Times of India.

Although there are a lot of shops in Marina which sell seafood, what makes Sundari Akka Kadai’s prawn curry, mutton masala and fried seer fish special is the secret masala, which she prepares at the end of every month. Expressing her gratitude towards her customers who made shop popular, Sundari said, “I am what my customers are. I might have won their hearts with my fish delicacies, but they are the ones who made me popular by spreading the news.”
