According to reports, a man committed suicide in Vadasema Palayam of Villupuram after the borrower, he signed surety for, disappeared four months ago. Mohammed Ismail had signed surety for Selvaraj, who borrowed Rs 55 lakh from a lender named Krishnamurthy three years ago. Following the disappearance of Selvaraj, Krishnamurthy and his men threatened Ismail asking to repay the Rs 96 lakh including the interest. Ismail filed a complaint with Sankarapuram police and Villupuram Superintendent of Police. However, Krishnamurthy and his brother Venkatesan came to Ismail’s house and abused him. Broken over this development, Ismail committed suicide.
