In the chargesheet filed by the police in the case of the bank robbery in Indian Bank’s Adyar branch, the accused Maneesh Kumar Yadav has reportedly narrated his plot in executing the robbery.
According to reports, the accused, who was selling Quality Walls ice creams in Besant Nagar beach, kept a watch on the bank for several months on the day-to-day activities in the bank. When he went to his native village in Bihar last month, the accused reportedly arranged to buy two country guns to execute the robbery.
On Monday, when he saw that the crowd was lesser before lunch break, he went inside the bank wearing a helmet and tried to rob the bank. The robbery foiled after traffic cops nabbed him on hearing the gun shot. Interestingly, the accused fired the gun accidentally.
