According to reports, a man from Thiruvarur district has slit the throat of his second wife. Allegedly, the man used to consume alcohol every other day and physically assault her. On Thursday he slit her throat in a fit of rage in the middle of the road. Passers-by caught him and tied him before calling the police. The man has been arrested and an investigation is underway.
