In a shocking incident, a 22-year-old police constable, Arun shot himself to death in front of the late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s memorial in Marina beach. His duty timing is from 2:00 am to 6:00 am at the memorial. Three other security personnel were reportedly with him when he suddenly shot himself at around 5:00 am on Sunday. He was rushed to Royapettah government hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
