MAN FROM SALEM DROWNS AT CHENNAI'S MARINA BEACH 

In a shocking case, a 20-year-old man drowned in the sea of Marina beach on Sunday evening. He hails from Salem district. 

The deceased has been identified as P Naveen, who shifted to Chennai a week ago after he got a job at a mobile phone service centre. 

According to Times of India report, Naveen, was swimming in the sea along with his friends. Suddenly, he got caught as a huge wave came by. His worried friends tried to save him but all went in vain. 

After many attempts of his friends trying to save him, they informed the Anna Square police station, who came into action and rushed to save him. 

However, Naveen’s body was washed ashore before the police arrived. A case has been registered in this matter.
