In a shocking case, a man was allegedly beaten up by a group of food delivery boys in Chennai’s Ashok Nagar after a scuffle broke out about a delay in the delivery.
The man has been identified as R Balaji and the incident took place on Sunday (November 3).
According to New Indian Express report, the incident took place when Balaji ordered food through the food-delivery app.
After quite some time, when the food didn’t reach the customer, Balaji raised a complaint with the customer care. Only after an hour, a delivery executive named Rajesh reached his residence with the food but they soon got into an argument over the delay.
While delivering the food, a verbal fight broke out after which the delivery guy allegedly called his friends and colleagues who lived nearby. The two people have been identified as Jaya Surya and P Mathiyalagan, who reached Balaji’s house and thrashed him.
Soon after the incident, Balaji approached the police and filed a complaint against all the three. Meanwhile, when police was interrogating the delivery guys, he stated that the customer had not mentioned the exact location for the delivery that led to a fight.
