SCHOOL HEADMISTRESS SUSPENDED FOR HER ACT AGAINST CLASS 5 GIRL

A school headmistress in Madhurandagam, Kanchipuram district had been suspended for attacking a girl student. The decision was taken by the district education board condemning the action of the headmistress. Reportedly the incident happened at a Government Primary School in Puliyarangottai Village.
According to the Thanthi Tv report, the headmistress had attacked the class 5 student named Devi with a stick. Since Devi was severely attacked, the incident was escalated to District Education officer Mr Krishan and additional officer Karpagam. Both of them visited the school which was already occupied by the village people. Apparently, the village people demanded strict actions against the shcool headmistress.
Therefore, the District Education Department ordered a temporary suspension to the school headmistress. Meanwhile, the State Human Rights Commmssion authorities summoned the Chief Education officer of Kanchipuram district to produce a report regarding the incident within 4 weeks of time.
