A Class IX student was reportedly set ablaze by pouring petrol on her near Thirumangalam in Madurai district, on Friday. Reports say, a man on a two-wheeler set her on fire and escaped the spot. The girl was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital and is currently receiving treatment. Police are investigating the motive behind the attack.
