The Madras High Court has reportedly announced that it will hear a petition that sought to revoke the censor certificate for the controversial ‘Mersal’ film on Friday. An advocate named Ashvathaman on Monday filed a public interest litigation in the court asking for the film’s censor certificate to be revoked. In the petition, he reportedly said the film portrayed India in poor light as it had misleading information about healthcare sector and GST.
