According to reports, the Madurai bench of Madras High Court on Thursday reportedly ordered a stay on the strike called by Joint Action Council of Teachers’ Associations - Government Employees Organisations. Saying that the strike violated service rules, the court reportedly observed that the public should not face hardship due to the strike. It also reportedly directed the Chief Secretary to publish the order in all leading newspapers.
