The Madras High Court has reportedly directed the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Alwarpet to pay Rs 10 crore property tax due in three instalments to the Greater Chennai Corporation by May 30. Reports say, the hotel owes property tax dues amounting to Rs 24.39 crore and corporation officials recently raised a reminder, outside the hotel premises with drums to garner attention. According to a TOI report, international guests including IPL cricket players are staying at the hotel.
