Two passengers in a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation bus were reportedly forced to pay luggage fee for two chocolate boxes weighing less than 500 grams by the conductor. Panneerselvam , one of the passengers recounts the incident - “The conductor was rude and used abusive language when I confronted him over luggage fare. As I had cash, I purchased the ticket, even though I knew it was unjustified. What if a passenger did not have money and de-boarded during night hours”. General Manager Natarajan (TNSTC Tiruvannamalai region) assures that appropriate action will be taken after investigation.
