According to weather blogger Pradeep John, the low pressure that has been formed in Sri Lanka, is likely to change into a depression. He, however, mentioned that the low pressure area is highly unlikely to become a cyclone like Ockhi. “It is very far away from Tamil Nadu coast, so winds won’t be a problem and it's just a low pressure now. The sea will become rough once it intensifies into a depression and there is a possibility that it might intensify into a deep depression. But it needs to be seen if it can become a Cyclone or not in a day or two. Even if it becomes, it will be a very weak cyclone. So, let’s not take a call on that now,” he said in a Facebook post on Sunday.
