LATEST UPDATE ON RAINS IN TAMIL NADU FROM MET CENTRE

The Regional Meteorological Centre in Chennai on Saturday said that some parts in Tamil Nadu might get slight downpour coupled with thunder. Rains are likely since the low-pressure area in the air moves from Andhra Pradesh coast to Tamil Nadu coast.

Some places will witness rains due to convection. In Chennai, the skies will be cloudy and the city may witness rain in the evening or night. The rains will range from slight to mild.

In the last 24 hours, Gudalur in Nilgiris district received the maximum rain of 4 cm and Naduvattam saw 2 cm rain. In Chennai, the temperature will register a maximum of 34°C and the minimum could be 28°C.
