Hours after quitting Congress, actor-turned-politician Khushbu Sundar joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today.
The former Congress spokesperson, was one of the party's most prominent defenders, since 2014. Khushbu Sundar joined the BJP in the presence of top party leaders in Delhi.
Earlier in the day, she wrote a letter to interim Congress president Sonia Gandhi claiming that she was being 'pushed and suppressed' by 'few elements' seated at a higher level within the party.
After joining the BJP, Khushbu Sundar said, "Over the time I have realised that the country needs someone like PM Narendra Modi to take the country in the right direction."
"I will work like any other party workers," Khushbu added.
