KARTI CHIDAMBARAM SECURES ANTICIPATORY BAIL

The Madras High Court in a late night hearing on Saturday granted anticipatory bail to Karti Chidambaram, son of former Union Minister P Chidambaram in connection with the warrant issued against him by the Income-tax department under the Black Money Act for allegedly not disclosing foreign assets.

The court also instructed the IT department to comply with the order until Karti returns from his abroad trip.

Karti had argued saying that he had already planned his trip abroad with his wife and daughter when the summons was issued.
