Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Wednesday celebrated Pongal with the Canadian Tamils and sported a Tamil-traditional attire 'Veshti'. Trudeau also wished everyone in Tamil - “Iniya Thai Pongal Nalvazhthukkal!”, which can be translated into, “Sweet Pongal Wishes.” Notably, the Canadian Parliament, in October last year, declared January as Tamil Heritage Month.
