The Tamil Nadu government has reportedly decided to release prisoners who had served jail time over 10 years, on the occasion of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa’s birth anniversary on February 24.  Reports say, prisoners over the age of 60 serving over 5 years of jail period will also be released.
