Reportedly a student of IIT Madras who was doing his dual degree in Mechanical engineering died on Friday morning due to dengue. Reportedly the boy fell ill on Tuesday and took a blood test. He was affected with dengue and got admitted to the Apollo hospital. According to media reports, the boy had several internal bleeding which led to multiple organ failures. Reportedly, the IIT administration asked all the students to check with the institution clinic if they have any symptoms of Dengue. Tamil Nadu's dengue death toll in 2017 has doubled when compared to last year, a report says. 15 deaths have been reported from the beginning of this year.
