According to reports, a woman from Tirupur protested outside an illegal Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation (TASMAC) outlet with a knife in her hand. The woman's demonstration created a stir in the state.
Reportedly, a TASMAC outlet in Pandian Nagar, Tirupur runs illegally from dawn to dusk. Kavita took to protesting against the outlet on Wednesday. The woman was seen sitting outside the TASMAC outlet, protesting against their brisk business right from the morning.
Kavitha's husband too is an alcoholic and often fights with her in an intoxicated state. Due to the bad state of her family, Kavitha took to protesting. The woman reportedly held a knife and threatened those who came to the outlet saying, "don’t go and drink… if you still go inside and drink I will commit suicide by stabbing myself to death”.
Police later confiscated the illegally stocked liquor and interrogated Kavitha. After the questioning, she was let go.
