In the “Two Leaves” symbol case, while the Election Commission had not officially announced its decision as to who will be granted the symbol, CM Palaniswami on Thursday said he was happy that his faction has won the “Two Leaves” symbol. A controversy erupted as the Chief Minister said his faction got the symbol, even before the EC announced its decision. CM Palaniswami later clarified that his comment was based on reporters’ remark that the EC allocated the symbol to their faction.
