After quashing orders detaining Thirumurugan Gandhi under Goondas act, the High Court on Wednesday released the leader of May 17 Movement and three others who were detained under goondas act. Gandhi and the functionaries of Tamilar Vidiyal katchi were arrested for attempting to protest in the memory of people who died during the conflict between the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam and Sri Lankan Government. After the release, Gandhi said that they would follow the path of Kamarajar and Periyar and fight for Tamil people.
