According to reports, the number of crimes against railway passengers in Tamil Nadu has witnessed a decline in the past few years. A report by the National Crime Records Bureau revealed that rail passengers in TN are relatively safe when compared to 13 other states in the country. This was reportedly generated based on the data collected by the Government Railway Police (GRP).
