BJP leader H Raja questioned how can ‘Joseph’ Vijay suggest to build hospitals instead of temples. “Joseph Vijay is a practising Christian, how can he suggest to build hospitals instead of temples? Being a Christian, he must have suggested building hospitals instead of Churches.” He also said, “H Raja is a Hindu and Vijay is a Christian. There is no other difference”. During the interview with Behindwoods, the BJP leader repeatedly addressed the actor as ‘Joseph’ Vijay.
