HIV AFFECTED PARENTS SELL NEW BORN BABY TO ANOTHER COUPLE

In a shocking incident, a 25-day-old newborn baby was sold to another couple for 1.1 Lakh in Trichy.

According to the Puthiya Thalaimurai, the couple who belong to Manapparai, Trichy gave birth to 3rd baby amidst their ailing HIV disease.

The couple already had two kids who were not affected by the disease. Fortunately, the third kid also did not get affected by the disease but suffered from some form of heart disease.

Therefore, the couple decided to sell the baby thorough a mediator (a woman who was working as a nurse in hospital) to meet their financial crisis.

Reportedly, an old couple who bought the child had lost their son in an accident earlier. At one point, the couple who bought the baby had taken it to the hospital for a checkup. The doctor who treated the baby had advised the couple to feed mother's milk to improve the baby's immune system.

Since the couple denied to do so, the doctor investigated the couple further to know the original identity of the baby. After knowing that the baby does not belong to the old couple, the doctor escalated the issue to the Child Protection Officer.
